Have you made your to-do list yet?

What do you think / how do you feel about to-do lists?
Some people love them. They say it's such a simple tool to replace chaos with order in their lives.
Other people ignore them totally and live happily - or not so happily - without them.
Still others make to-do lists and then get irritated when they can't meet their own demands.
But, hey, wait - what is a to-do list? It's a list of things that you have to do or need to do. Or, even, want to do. Then, as you go through the day, you cross out the things you have already done.
Here is an example for, let's say, Thursday:
- make breakfast
- feed the cat
- make my bed
- do my homework
- get online (an English class)
- phone Anya (my best friend)
- look out the window
- help Mom with dinner
- work in the garden
Look at the questions based on this to-do list:
Have you made your breakfast yet?
Have you fed the cat yet?
Have you made your bed yet?
Have you done your homework yet?
Have you ..... yet? = Czy już.... (zrobiłaś / zrobiłeś daną rzecz)?
Remember, you need +ed with regular verbs and the Past Participle (III form) of irregular verbs.
Ok. Your turn:
1. Continue asking the questions based on the to-do list above.
2. Now, make your own to-do list and, in the middle of the day, ask the "Have you...... yet?" questions about each item on the list.
PS The best feeling? When, at the end of the day, your list looks like that:
make breakfastfeed the catmake my beddo my homeworkget online (an English class)phone Anya (my best friend)look out the windowhelp Mom with dinnerwork in the garden
But, honestly - has it ever happened to you and your to-do list....?
I'll tell you something: my to-do lists always look like that.
Guess what. Prima aprilis! They n e v e r do... But I keep trying ;).
