21st December - Winter Solstice
Today's a special day. It's called winter solstice. In the Northern hemisphere it's when the day is the shortest of all the days in the year, and the night the longest of all the nights. From tomorrow on, the day will keep gaining on the length, and the night will get shorter and shorter. It's the other way round on the Southern hemisphere.
The light and the darkness, both needed, intertwined in an everlasting cosmic dance.
How strange, and how magnificent, is to be alive on this Eart.
